Fit for Life Foundation appoints Dr Anne L. Friedlander as Member of the Advisory Board

Vaduz, 2 March 2022 – The Fit for Life Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Anne L. Friedlander as Member of the Advisory Board. 

Dr. Friedlander is an exercise physiologist and adjunct professor in the Program in Human Biology at Stanford University. She is passionate about the benefits of movement on the aging process and specializes in giving talks translating scientific findings on physiology and exercise into practical applications for people. She is currently exploring ways of combining storytelling with online learning to help engage students at Stanford and around the world in the excitement of human physiology.

 During her tenure at Stanford, Dr. Friedlander directed her Exercise Physiology Lab and served as the Associate Director for Education of the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) at the VA Palo Alto. She also served as the Director of the Mobility Division within the Stanford Center on Longevity (SCL) where she developed innovative strategies to enhance mobility and physical function throughout the lifespan and promoted collaborative efforts between academia and industry. Dr. Friedlander has broad research experience in the areas of enhancing human performance, environmental physiology, and using physical activity and mobility to promote healthy aging. She consults regularly with exercise physiology and wellness start-up companies interested in developing new products, programs and ideas to promote physical activity and wellness.

Dr. Friedlander received a BA in Biology from Wesleyan University, a Masters and Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of California, Berkeley, and conducted her post-doctoral training in the Division of Endocrinology, Geriatrics and Metabolism at the Stanford University School of Medicine. 

The members of the Fit for Life Foundation Advisory Board assist and support the Foundation in achieving its aims. They serve on a voluntary basis, sharing their expertise and experience in a wide range of fields. Current Advisory Board Members include Louise Aronson, André Borschberg, and Antonella Notari.
